Legal Disclaimer
The three notices below appear in short form at the foot of every page. This is the full version of each, and what each one means for you.

1. Attorney advertising
Attorney advertising. This website is an advertisement for legal services offered by The Nagel Law Firm, LLC. Daniel Nagel is responsible for its content.
This website was built to promote the legal services of The Nagel Law Firm, LLC. Everything on it — the practice-area pages, the biography, the figures, the video — is written to persuade as well as to inform, and it should be read the way you would read any advertisement.
Daniel Nagel is the attorney responsible for the content of this website. The firm’s principal office is 600 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.
2. This website is not legal advice
The information here is general. It is not legal advice, it is not tailored to anyone’s circumstances, and it is not a substitute for a conversation with a lawyer who knows the facts of your case. Do not act on anything you read here, and do not decide against acting, without getting advice about your own situation.
Law changes. Pages on this site may not reflect the most recent developments, and we do not promise to update them. Rules also differ from state to state; nothing here should be assumed to describe the law anywhere other than Georgia.
3. Contacting us does not create an attorney–client relationship
Contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential information until a written agreement is in place.
Sending a message through the contact form, emailing the address published on this site, or telephoning the firm does not make you a client. You become a client only when the firm has checked for conflicts of interest, agreed to take your matter, and signed a written engagement agreement with you. Until all three have happened, the firm is not acting for you and is not watching any deadline on your behalf.
This matters for confidentiality. Information you send before there is an engagement is generally not protected by the attorney–client privilege, and the firm may already act for someone whose interests are opposed to yours. Send us enough to let us know what your matter is about and how to reach you — and no more — until we have told you in writing that we represent you.
An unanswered message is not a declined case, and a declined case is not an opinion about your claim. If you do not hear back from the firm, please assume nothing and consult another lawyer promptly.
4. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every case is different, and the outcome of any case depends on its own facts, evidence and applicable law.
Case results depend on facts that are unique to each matter: how the injury happened, how badly someone was hurt, what the evidence shows, what insurance exists, which court hears it, and who sits on the jury. A recovery obtained for one client tells you nothing reliable about what any other case is worth.
Figures such as the total recovered, the number of cases handled, the years of experience and the client-satisfaction percentage shown on the home page are summaries of the firm’s past work. They are not a prediction, a promise, or a guarantee of any result in your matter, and they are not adjusted for the individual facts of the cases behind them. [Firm to confirm: substantiation and measurement basis for each published figure]
5. Testimonials, reviews and endorsements
Where this site quotes a client, the words are that person’s own description of their own experience. One client’s experience is not a prediction of yours, and a quotation is not an endorsement by any court or bar association. [Firm to confirm: consent for each testimonial, and that none was compensated]
6. Awards, ratings and recognitions
Any award, listing or rating mentioned on this site was granted by the organisation named, using that organisation’s own selection criteria. No award is an endorsement by a court or a bar association, and no award, rating or listing predicts the outcome of any case. Selection criteria for each recognition are available from the organisation that granted it.
7. Time limits
Legal claims are subject to deadlines. Missing one can end a claim permanently, whatever its merits, and some deadlines — particularly where a government body or a public entity is involved — arrive much sooner than people expect. The deadline that applies to you depends on the kind of claim, who the defendant is, and when the injury was or should have been discovered.
This website does not tell you what your deadline is, and no page on it should be read as saying you still have time. If you think you may have a claim, speak to a lawyer now rather than later.
8. Where the firm is licensed to practise
The firm does not seek to represent anyone in a jurisdiction where its attorneys are not licensed, and nothing on this site is an offer to practise law in such a jurisdiction. [Firm to list: every state bar admission for each attorney at the firm]
9. Fees and case expenses
This site says that the firm handles personal injury matters on a contingency basis — no attorney’s fee unless there is a recovery. Attorney’s fees and case expenses (such as filing fees, records, and expert witnesses) are separate things, and how expenses are handled if a case is unsuccessful is set out in the firm’s written fee agreement, not here. [Firm to state: treatment of case expenses if there is no recovery, and the fee structure]
Read the fee agreement before you sign it, and ask about anything in it you do not understand. A free consultation is free; it is not a commitment by you or by the firm.
10. Photographs and depictions
Photographs on this site are used to illustrate the kinds of matters the firm handles. No one shown in them is identified as a client. [Firm to confirm: image licences, and that no photograph depicts a real client or case]
11. Links and embedded content
This site links to the firm’s social media profiles and embeds a video player from YouTube on the home page. The firm does not control those services and is not responsible for their content. A link is not an endorsement. What the embedded player means for your privacy is described in the privacy policy.
12. How to reach us
If anything on this page is unclear, ask us. It is a better use of a phone call than guessing.
